About Infocar

infocarInfocar AB was started in 1992 by Per-Henrik Persson and Mats Eriksson. Both Per-Henrik and Mats had already been working with car electronics for a long time, first at  SAAB-Scania and later on at Autodiagnos AB.

Autodiagnos AB was started by P-H Persson in 1986 and  later noted on the SBI-list for a number of years. In the spring of 2000 they where bought out by the English company GenRad. Ltd.

Infocar AB has set up a development platform for producing interactive e-learning titles – up until 2004 the programs were delivered on CD-ROM. From 2005 and onwards most of the programs have been web based e-learning, where access is granted by password.

Over the years Infocar has developed a range of different titles in many languages and also client customzied versions. We will continue to develop new titles, many of which will be based on requests from our customers.

Examples of major clients for whom we have developed customized versions:
• Scania, Sweden
• VOLVO VCE, Sweden
• Hella, Germany
• TRW, Germany
• FIAT / IVECO, Italy
• NGK, Germany
• LIBER, Sweden

Infocar AB has up until April 2006 worked in two different fields:

• interactive training programs
• PC-based diagnostic tools

In April 2006 the diagnostic section of the company was sold to the French company Actia SA via the Swedish branch Actia Nordic AB in Sollentuna. Any questions about diagnostic products should be directed to Actia Nordic AB, who have integrated our product Workshop Master in their product platform Multi-Diag.

In connection with this the name of the company was changed to Infocar Training AB, to stress our total focus on training.

In this area there is continous development of new titles and language versions, as well as customized versions for big customers in the automotive industry.

We see a rapid increase in interest for automotive e-learning (web-based training) where we consider ourselves to be one of the leading players in Europe. New car models contain more and more electronics which dramatically increases the need for training for mechanics.
